Wonder as You Wander

Wonder is a word that is..., yes, wonderful! So many possibilities with wonder. Just switch out your vowels A, E, I, O, U, and sometimes Y – Wander, Wender, Winder, Wonder, Wunder, and Wynder.

Wander – I love to wander. Wander down the road or trail – on bike, foot, motorcycle, whatever. When you wander, you wonder. You wonder as you wander about the wonderful world. Fresh air in your face at a slow pace, you escape the human race.

Wender – Last night a friend came home drunk. Wender is what he said about his real bender, “Lad night I wen' on a weal wender.”

Winder – A winder is a step that is wider at one end than at the other – think of a spiral staircase. Think of my drunk friend, “Lad night on a weal wender, I wondered as a wandered by a winder, is that weally weal?”

Wunder – If someone is wonderful at an early age, they are a wunderkind. This explains the switching out of vowels - o for u. Wunder contains “under” as in under-age.

By the way, wunderkind is pronounced “vunder-kint.” Which brings us again to my friend, “Ded ya know Mozart was a veal vunderkint?

Wynder – Wynder, as a name, would add an air of sophistication to a sailboat. Winder is an OK name – after all, a sailboat needs wind. But Wynder written in big, bold cursive would look wonderful on the stern of a sailboat that wonderfully wanders the waters.

In conclusion, I wonder as I wander on a wender by a winder in a boat named Wynder…
